The 248-bed, 699,700 sq ft Sheikh Khalifa Specialist Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, is expected to be the state-of-the-art medical facility in the area. Dhs.555 Million health facilities is part of President H H Sheikh Khalifa binZayed Al Nahyan’s support for development of infrastructure in remote regions in the UAE.

ETA has carried out complete state-of-the-art Electromechanical works and Building Management System as per International Standards.


Perkins Eastman provided consulting, planning, architectural, and interior design for a facility that will create a new standard for innovative, patient-centered, specialty-care in the area. Designed to the highest tertiary care standards combining the most advanced medical technology, international design, and healthcare planning solutions available, the six-story structure incorporates major specialty program elements including oncology, cardiology, a trauma center, and an emergency department. Patient privacy and healing are emphasized through the project’s hospitality-like design including a genial network of calming lounges, sun-filled atriums, and other supportive environments throughout the facility.

The first of its kind project will have an initial capacity of 248 beds and expansion in future will bring total capacity to 400 beds. The 6-storey hospital will be built to international standards. It will house wards for cancer and cardiovascular disease in addition to an emergency unit

The MEP services include 7,600 TR water cooled 11kV Chillers with associated works, Electrical works covering 16 MW electrical load and Power Distribution, Plumbing, Drainage,  Building Management System, Medical Gas System, Fire fighting & Fire Alarm System, lighting System, Low Current System including Nurse Call System, Lighting Control and dimming system, Master Clock System, Public Address and Audio Visual System etc.
